Web Streamers

An optional module within the system that can be controlled by the staff via the web interface to display a webstream from a list of available web streams and output this content to a particular TV Channel which can then
be viewed throughout the facility, or, a given area within the facility.

UIG can configure ‘Web Streamers’ to output client selected content on a particular TV channel. For example, a client who utilises two Web Streamers whereby the first Web Streamer is connected to TV channel 588 and the
second Web Streamer is connected to TV channel 589. The staff can select which streams to display on channels 588 and 589. Each channel can display any available stream from the staff web interface. Once a stream is selected for a given TV channel, any TV tuned to that channel will see the stream. As an example, if the Web Streamer connected to Channel 588 is set to ‘France 24 Hour News (English)’, then any TV tuned to channel 588 will see the ‘France 24 Hour News (English)’ service.

Free and legal to use web streams are available that cover the following topics:
• world news services
• hobbies and interests
• foreign language services
• religious services
• entertainment
• music

UIG will create a playlist for each site and update the playlist as changes are required.
